Review: [redacted] had a contractual agreement signed with me on June **, 2014, after he was referred by my [redacted] did not fulfill the agreement since he could not complete the renovations within four days. Since my permanent home is outside [redacted], the final check with an additional $200 as an incentive to complete the work as promised was left with my [redacted] who checks on my unit regularly. [redacted] assured her that he called me to explained that the work was completed while she was in the condo unit with him. Since he was talking on the phone, as if he was actually speaking with me, she gave him the final check; which included an additional sum of $200 not a part of the agreement, but as an incentive to complete the job and clean the unit by removing excess paint dropping from the built-in book cases and floor heat covers in all rooms; rehang wood blinds, and to fix the newly installed fans and dimmers that he did not correctly installed with his licensed electrician. I contacted [redacted] around the end of June since he lied about calling me about the completion of the work. He assured me by phone that everything was done and [redacted] gave him the final check. On June ** I informed [redacted] that I may not be in ** until August 2014. The last week of August I arrived in ** and made several calls to have [redacted] do a walk through with me. His [redacted] returned one of my calls and said [redacted] would call me. To this date he has not made contact with me. He has been paid in full for the work, less the costs of materials he asked me to purchase on his behalf at [redacted]. There is paint damages, blinds hung low, interior doors not stained, one door knob not repaired, new installed fans and dimmers not working, and paint stains on newly installed white book case and floor heat covers. The wall paint in the rooms not professionally trimmed.Desired Settlement: 1. Reimbursement of a minimum of $600 which includes the extra $200 incentives that was not in contract. At a minimum $300 to have an electrician overhaul the installation of the dimmers and the 3 fans, rehang blinds. The costs of damaged built-ins. Or,2. [redacted] (Spicemens Construction Corp) arrange a time at my convenience to have the renovations completed as agreed upon with the refund of the $200 incentives and payment of 50% the costs of airfare and transportation for me to return **.
