Spice Village

Spice Village advertises a party room and includes pictures of this room which shows lots of decor on walls. When I showed up it was a space in the middle of the store that was taped off with 2 roped signs telling customers it's a private party. The entire front of the party is open to a main walk way for customers. Customers were able to step into the party area, took pictures, and moved things within the party such as chairs so they could take pictures against a wall that had decor on it. I spoke to the owner asking that the walk way be roped off at least since I booked a room and not an open hallway nook space. She very rudely said I was never told it was a room and it says online it's an open concept. The website clearly states "Rent our party Room" and does not say anything about it not having walls or being completely open to the public. I paid $200 for a room and was give a open walkway with tape that is supposed to inform their shoppers not to step over. The owner is extremely rude and told me she would not honor the room concept by at least blocking the customers from entering the area and she can't stop them from stepping across the tape or taking pictures. She was more concerned that we were bothering customers from walking by. Furthermore, we were promised a kitchen but it was the employee breakroom that we had to share with employees. We had open food and drinks we brought in with random employees able to walk by or do anything to our items as we are across the walk way. This business needs to re-word their site to be honest and clear with what is being rented. I've had multiple people tell me they had the same experience and complaints with the false advertisement. I should be refunded at least half my cost ad I was given half a room.
