Reply to Monica ***’s Revdex.com complaint:
Dr***’s office is not contracted with the US Department of Labor as a workman’s comp physicianMissouri law
states that the employer picks the provider, not the employeeIf the employee has written permission from their employer to seek treatment outside of their providers, we will accept workman’s comp as a form of paymentAt the time of service, Ms*** did not present permission to seek treatment from Dr***
Forms that were filled out at the time of service had nothing to do with workman’s comp, but with FMLA leaveAs a physican, our office will do FMLA papers to cover employees during their medical leave
When Ms*** presented her health insurance information, it was past the timely filing period for her earlier visitsHer first visit was on Feb 19, and insurance information was presented to the office on May 5, Her insurance policy only allows days for claims to be presented for payment
We began billing Ms*** at the address that she provided to the office starting on March 3, Every month going forward she was mailed a statement at the beginning of each month ending on February 5, for a total of statements mailed to Ms***After that , she was sent to our accountant’s collection agency for non -payment
With Ms***’s motor accident, we were informed that her attorney information that was presented to our office for her accident case was the wrong attorneyWe were in contact with *** giving them billing information and medical records and talking to *** *** in their officeIn August we were notified that they were not representing her in this accident case
Our office has made numerous attempts to help Ms*** use the resources that she presented us for payment of servicesWe can no longer attempt to bill other sources for payment due to timely filing issues with health insurance, workman’s comp not being accepted in our office, and incorrect information given to office at time of service
We have separated the bills as far as we canWithout payment being made by third parties, the only one responsible for the bill is Ms***We have given her attorney the information as far as what the auto accident was responsible for, only to be told that they are not representing her for that caseWe cannot bill workmans comp for services because we are not contracted as a workmans comp physican
The copay that was to be charged to Ms*** was for an office visit to see Dr***We do not charge patients to talk to the doctor
