The cost of the job pertaining to the vanity plumbing was 312.57. The other job cost was to other work done in the house. [redacted] was very pleased with all the work completed. We "cleaned up and completed" other jobs that had been done by someone...
else. We also repaired a plumbing leak due to a leaking valve where her husband had set a new toilet. Water had run through the floor to the bsmt. We set up a fan in the bsmt. to dry out the subfloor as quickly as possible. We also treated the area with a mildewcide to prevent mold growth, which we did not charge for. The leak now in question is a condensate drain line that was tied into the drain line near the vanity. The line was not leaking at the time we replaced the faucet and popup assy. Apparently when they started using their air conditioning the condensate pump was pumping water through the line, and there was a leak. [redacted]'s husband removed the hose assy, and tried to put duct tape over the drain line coming from the condensate pump. Rather than replacing the hose, or at least putting a bucket under the line, they called us to come out and repair. we could not get there for several days. Meanwhile the leak continued. They could have limited the damages by replacing the hose, or using a bucket. Leaving the hose on would have been a smaller leak than removing it. We cannot be responsible for some one else removing parts from a system they don't understand. As a side note we were hesitant to do anymore work for [redacted], as it took about 45 days to get paid for the work we completed. [redacted] also tried to get one of my men to do a bathroom remodel for her behind my back.
