Spencer's Safe & Lock Company

Review: Spencer's Safe & Lock came to my house last year and rekeyed the front door deadbolt. After, they rekeyed the lock I did notice some issues with turning the key. It would occasionally get stuck while turning the key to unlock the door or not turn at all. At the time, I didn't think much of it I had assumed maybe it was due to the weather, etc. I never thought it could possibly be the result of dishonest practice of Spencer's Safe & Lock. Fast forward to today I called another company to rekey the same front door lock. After inquiring with the technician of why it took him so long to rekey the lock ( more than 1 1/2 hrs )...he informed me that the previous lock was keyed as a "master lock"..that there were several pins in there instead of the custom one. Of course, I had no idea what he meant. And I asked him about it. He went on to inform me it is usually done when the person wants a contractor or other people to have their OWN separate access key. I was beyond dumbfounded. I have never requested to have it rekeyed as such. The reason I rekeyed it in the first place was to make sure no one else had access. After, he finished putting the lock on I noticed a stark difference. It turned very smoothly when I put the key in. I was able to open and close it without any issues. Afterwards, I called Spencer's Safe & Lock to find out why they would rekey my locks as a "master lock." After, telling my concerns to a staff member who seemed very empathetic, I was transferred to the shop manager "[redacted]". He proceeded to scream and yell at me on the phone. He was very aggressive and unbelievably unprofessional. He even called me "stupid". He was verbally abusive. I had to hang up but not before I informed him I will contact my lawyer.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. I also want Revdex.com to flag and investigate their business. I'm sure want they did is illegal.
