I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

*** *** While I greatly appreciate the response from ***, I do not agree with their assessment of the situation.First they claim the service was over months old, which as you can see from the provided dates of both services in the original claim, is false.Second, their claim that the problem would have surfaced due to time and mileage is inaccurate as wellI am disabled and oftentimes find it difficult to muster the energy to get out of bed, much less drive my vehicleWhile *** certainly had no way of knowing this, I think it accurately reflects that they are quite willing to issue a blanket statement in an attempt to steer any notion that they could have been at fault directly back towards the customer.In reality the vehicle likely saw miles of road time during the timeframe in question, and this is being generous.As a prior business owner myself, I understand that customer complaints can often be a tricky road to navigate, however honest business practice decrees we should be willing to examine each case, weigh the validity and circumstance, and then follow a course of action based upon these findingsInstead, This business chooses to hide behind their "warranty" and make erroneous claims that are both and without merit

The service provided was more than months old, the warranty (copy attached) states that the customer must return to a *** shop "FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY" The customer never returned for any issues with the brakes. If they had returned the brake
pads would have been covered under the lifetime warranty, (The rotor warranty was only days) This is the official policy, If the customer had returned and a problem existed we probably would have gone beyond the warranty requirements to resolve this. The customer did not return because they were told that it was unsafe to drive, this seems quite questionable since the car was driver for over months and how many thouands of miles? and the brakes performed flawlessly. Now out of the blue the over zealous (???) sales person decides it cannot be driven or miles to the *** shop. I do not believe we should be held accountable for this sales pitch. Thank You

At Speedee we do over oil changes per year, over 99% are done without any issues. In this case we did not secure the oil filler cap and I can only apologize for this error. If any oil needs to be cleaned from the engine compartment please return and we will clean this as quickly as
possible.As for the lubrication and differential check, if the technician did his job properly it would be hard to tell anything was done. The fittings and differential plug should be cleaned after checking. If you are concerned about these items please make an appointment and I will personally meet you and we can check these items together.Again I apologize for any inconvenience this may have causedTom

I don't care about the other oil changes that were done with 99% supposedly correct. I don't have any proof that 99% were don't correctly and very much doubt that is even true. I don't think that leaving the oil cap off was an error. As far as I am concerned, it was just plain laziness, incompetent and irresponsible.In terms of knowing whether the fittings were greased and the rear differential checked, I feel that I am perfectly capable of looking at them and being able to tell if they were touched or not As far as returning to Speedee, no vehicle of mine will ever be taken back there again as long as I am alive.I think that it is a shame for a business to be licensed to do business charging the rates they do, and then not evening doing what the customer paid for. However, many customers are probably being ripped off and are never aware that it is going on. I would never have known if I hadn't bothered to inspect their work soon after getting my car home.Regards,
