I am rejecting this response because: I had the car towed back to Midas/SpeeDee Oil Change and Tune Up the same day as the timing belt cover replacement was completed because my car had quit running less than five miles after the timing belt replacement
My shop replaced a leaking timing cover gasket. Our repair never leaked after the repair was done. A week or two later, his engine starting knocking. His engine has over 230,000 miles on it. starter problem, the customer took his car to the self car wash and washed his engine. he shorted out the starter and that's why we had to replace it. Again, no fault of ours.

Review: I took my 2002 [redacted] Monte Carlo SS in for a timing chain cover gasket replacement. Within 5 miles after leaving their facility my motor froze up. After having it towed back to their shop they told me the starter needed replacement so they could check the motor.I bought a starter from them and was later told the motor was no good.I asked for a refund (around $700.00) for the gasket cover replacement and was refused. Now I would like to be refunded also the price of the starter. If they were a reputable company they would throw in a new motor for good measure.Desired Settlement: Refund for the timing chain cover gasket repair and for the starter. If they were an reputable Company they would also replace the motor for me.
