Hi ***, We are sorry that you have felt mistreated during the emergency cleanup of your propertyDuring the flash flood of July 2016, we received your call with other basements in a matter of hoursWe are sorry for the delay in getting out to your propertyWe stabilized all
sewer backup losses in the order they were receivedYour call was placed making it number on the list of claimsOur project manager had been in contact with you several times during the process and explained to you the reason for the delaysIt is standard practice to gather a work authorization before the work can beginAlso, when dealing with emergency situations such as yours, no estimates are givenThe work is done on a time and material basisThe pm explained that we deal direct with the insurance company on pricing following their pricelist, not that it was confidentialTypically, the insured isn't involved until the final approved amount is agreed on (unless there is no / limited insurance)You confirmed with our project manager that you had insuranceYou gave your adjuster info to him but never mentioned that you had a $50,sewer backup limit The first time we found out that you had a policy limit that would not cover the loss was at time of invoicing to the insurance company. We use pricing that is standard to the restoration industry (***)The same pricing was used for the rebuild for which you took a pay out for the full amountHow is it justified for you to take a full payout no questions asked and then say that when the same pricing is used for the emergency / contents that the pricing is unjust / unfair? When you emailed me yesterday to ask, I had already responded and said that we would work with you to find a resolution to the issue to which you didn't respondWe are willing to discount where possible to make the bill manageable (ieL payment plan)You will find that if you work with us to resolve the issue, we are actually one of the most fair and reasonable companies to work with.
