I recived an email dated 6/13/2016, advertising [redacted] Brats 14oz size for 98cents a package. The email staated estimated 3 day inventory. When I got to the store on 6/14/16. I picked up 6 packages of the [redacted] Brats 14 oz packages. When I went to check out they rang up for $1.98. I showed the girl at the register my email. She asked another woman who was supposedly "management" and that woman said "those are 98 cents" then yet another woman who was a store emplyee also, yelled from another register, "corporate said that was only a 3 day sale, it's off". I was not going to pay twice the advertised amount, so I went ahead and left the store. This happened about 6:30 pm.Desired SettlementThis was false advertising.Business Response The Customer received an e-mail blast stating that there were aprox. so many days left on item qty. However we only have a limited amount and once they are gone that is all, no rain checks. The item advertised was close dated and marked down to reflect this and once the close dated items were sold through the new shipment was marked back to normal price and put on floor. We did have item and sell previous day at .98cents. This person contacted me via e-mail and I responded and offered coupons (which act as store credit) to make up the difference lost on paying full price vrs. the markdown price. They never responded to e-mail and filed complaint. I apologize I did not respond sooner as mail came to previous owners and I do not open mail not addressed to me. I made the effort to right this as I was on vacation during the incident but responded as soon as I arrived home to customer. Being an outlet store our prices are subject to qtys available and Blasts are est. days supply on hand as specified in e-mail and not a guarantee. So sorry.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The store did not send me an email. He says he sent an email and I didn't respond. Simply not true. I for sure will not waste my time or money supporting the grocery outlet after reading his response. Final Business Response I apologize if you did not receive the e-mail as I looked in my sent mail however in looking more closely I assumed the original e-mail was from you. The e-mail was very similar to the complaint and it is not unlikely you were not the only one who was upset by the .98cent close dated Brats selling so quickly. I assumed you had tried to contact me before contacting Revdex.com to right this but I guess I was mistaken in this. Im sorry you feel this is false advertisement however 31 were sold at the .98 cent price because they were clearance for close date on 6/12/16 which prompted the electronic WOW alert to send. the 3 days is an estimation and not a guarantee. I know sometimes once you feel wronged there is no way to make things right. I wish you had contacted me directly as I would have hoped to have made this right. However as stated above you are obviously upset and you have decided to shop elsewhere. I hope that someday you reconsider and just know we are all independently operated. Again I apologize for mistakenly thinking I e-mailed you before and that a resolution could not be found.
