compensated for the difference. As for taking home food, it is a little more complicated. Our Brunch is primarily a buffetbrunch, offering seafood, pastas, salads, breakfast items, desserts, etc. It is true that wecook your entree selection to order, but at any time during the brunch you are able totake as many trips to the buffet as you wish. Because there is no limit on this, welearned the from the beginning that people would make an entire meal out of the buffetand then bFing home their entree to be eaten as a separate meal. If that policy had notbeen changed, we would have been forced to discontinue our brunch all together, aspeople were essentially getting two meals for $58 instead of one. I assure you that Iknow of no other restaurant that allows to-go boxes with their buffet brunch. We couldalways take the entree choices and put them in a chafing dish on the table, but we knowthat would greatly decrease the flavor and quality of the selections. However, becausewe know this can be an issue for people, our policy on no to-go food is clearly specifiedon both our menu and our web site.We are truly sorry that the [redacted] party was disappointed in their brunchexperience, but we stand by our policy and believe it is our only option. Review: There were two problems:
1. Website said brunch was $58 but when we arrived it was $65
2. They said " Please, No Food Will Be Packaged To-Go". This is problematic because once you pay for your food, it then belongs to you and the restaurant should NOT be able to tell me what I can do with it. For instance, my senior citizen mother cannot finish an entire plated food due to being older. It is not fair that the restaurant want her to agree to have it thrown away when she wanted to eat the rest of her meal for dinner later in the day. Why should she spend $65 dollars for her food and then not be able to eat it at her leisure. If the restaurant does not want to package food to go, then patrons need to have the option of bringing their own packaging to package up their own food. Again, the food ordered and paid for belongs to the patron, how can the restaurant dictate that it be thrown away if the patron does not finish it at one time. This situation was applicable to each one of us in our party; it is applicable for anyone that becomes full and cannot finish. In reality, the restaurant is forcing people to throw away their food or forcing them to be gluttonous. Neither are ok.Desired Settlement: I would like each adult person (5) in our party refunded.
