Spa Verde Reviews (4)

I am the General Manager and Licensed Esthetician at the spa. I have been doing facials and managing here for years, at another spa for 2, then another spa as manager and Esthetician for years.
Here at Spa Verde we have done extensive research into the companies and the products we use as we are a green spa
Since the website was written I have brought in other products and chose the ones I used on her skin for her specificallyMy facials are called Custom Facials for a reasonWe talked about her skin and I felt her skin before the cleansing which always tells me more about the skin type my client has
I always use at least two masques in hour-long and minute facialsThe first sometimes requires steam and this one did not.
I never wear gloves during facials, never have, and I use all the required sanitation practices
Sometimes people do breakout after facials. It happens due to the deep cleaning and detoxing of the skin. It doesn't always happen but it can
I did massage her arms and hands with lotionI am not a massage therapist although I get high marks for the "massage" I do give during a facial. I stepped out to get the scent of lotion she asked forIn order for any masque to be on the skin for an extended period when necessary, I check in with my client and then step out of the room.
She left me a generous tip and did not comment or complain during or after the facial. If she had I would have been happy to adjust the price or add on a service at that timeWe pride ourselves in great customer service and happy clients. Many people comment on our success in these areasI apologized to *** when she initially contacted me and made an offer to her to which I still feel we can do. I get many return clients and have not had any issues with them. I wonder why she tipped if she was unhappy? If you need anything else from me please let me know. The number here is ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I do not accept the offer by the esthetician of $25.00. I continue to have the same concerns regarding the services provided which did not match the advertising on the website.-She did not "feel my skin" prior to cleansing. I have had numerous facials and know what a skin analysis is which did not take place.- She did not mix the fresh ingredients at the time of service as advertised on the website.- The time of the service was not minues and was minutes at the most. The esthetician commented that the receptionist was "out that day" and she was "doing double duty" which I believe accounted for her leaving the room for extended periods of time on occasions as well as starting the service minutes late while she sat in the reception area working on the computer. She did leave the room for a brief period of time for the lotion she used. That was not one of the two times she left for an extended period of time.- Massage of the feet, face, arms, hands, shoulders and neck are advertised. If the esthetician is unable to perform massage, this should not be advertised on the website. Again, I have had numerous facials which have included actual massage so I do know the difference between applying lotion and massage. I did receive a foot massage and brief face massage. I received an application of lotion to my arms and hands. I did not receive either lotion or massage to my neck and shoulders which the esthetician has failed to address.-Prior to booking the massage, I looked at the website of several spas in the area. While I thought that I remembered what Spa Verde had advertised, I was not sure due to the significant difference in the services given versus the advertising on the website. Because I was could not remember exactly what I was to have received, I did tip the esthetician. Once I re-read the advertising on the website, I realized that I had not received much of what was advertised. It was at that time that I contacted the owner who has failed to respond to my complaints other than to have the esthetician who provided the poor service call me.I feel that my request for a $refund is more than reasonable based on the lack of services as advertised. The shortened service is worth $with the lack of massage worth $15.00. The tip is not deserved in my opinion and should be refunded simply because of the issues discussed above

-She did not "feel my skin" prior to cleansing.  I have had numerous facials and know what a skin analysis is which did not take place.
- She did not mix the fresh ingredients at the time of service as advertised on the website.
- The time of the service was not 90 minues and was 70 minutes at the most.  The esthetician commented that the receptionist was "out that day" and she was "doing double duty" which I believe accounted for her leaving the room for extended periods of time on 2 occasions as well as starting the service 20 minutes late while she sat in the reception area working on the computer.  She did leave the room for a brief period of time for the lotion she used.  That was not one of the two times she left for an extended period of time.

I feel that my request for a $60.00 refund is more than reasonable based on the lack of services as advertised.   The shortened service is worth $25.00 with the lack of massage worth $15.00.  The tip is not deserved in my opinion and should be refunded simply because of the issues discussed above.
