Southwood Acres Apartments

After living in apt 49 for a year, and filling all of our contractual obligations, we ended our lease and vacated the property 2 weeks early. We were given a list of things to complete prior to move out that we completed, with clorox bleach, lysol wipes, magic erasers, and many man hours. After vacating, we received the refunded amount of our security deposit and we were charged an exorbitant amount of money for what we consider regular wear and tear. We believe that the landlord was not on our side but instead was giving his cleaning man the "hook up" as it were with our apartment. On top of the normal cleaning that we werent charged for, the cleaning man claims to have needed to spend an additional 4 hours, at the cost of $200 for items that were already cleaned-per Southwood Acres pre move out list. Bottom line is, they gave us a list of things to accomplish, we accomplished them, and we are now being charged over $300 more than we feel we should have been charged. We notified them of things needing to be addressed and accepted the fees associated with the damages. The fees we were charged in total goes way beyond anything reasonable.Desired Settlementwith the understanding of damages for the Mirror, mini blinds, and missing pool pass, we feel we shouldve been charged $35 for that as was previously quoted. A refund of an additional $300 is requested.Business Response We have resolved this conflict and a refund was issued.
