Complaint: [redacted]
I repeat my complaint. There was no instructor on the floor when I went to cut my hair and while the clip was placed on my hair by the student. The student asked where the instructor was or where the director [redacted] (not sure on the spelling of her last name)was. They were nowhere to be found. The student then went to the back offices and came back with [redacted] (i assumed this was in an effort to supervise the haircut). She came up to me barely looked me. There was no careful inspection of my hair as was claimed by the school. [redacted] was very rude to me when she told me that they could not cut my hair because I had dandruff. She did it with disdain to such effect I felt I was going to get yelled at if I attempted to answer anything to her. They did not deal with the matter respectfully as claimed in the response to my complaint. She said it loud enough that the woman who was taking names at the front heard and laughed. They have made no effort to apologize to me. And when they see me on the street they make every effort to avoid me. Had they treated me with respect and with consideration I would not have complained. I repeat. The girl that touched my hair did not wash her hands first. And the tools were not sanitized, I have gotten hair cuts in many places. I have never been treated like I was at the Nuvani Institute.

RE: ID [redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted],
First let me say that the school is sorry that the client felt offended by the actions of our instructor [redacted]. There was certainly no intention to embarrass Ms. [redacted].
The instructor, [redacted], was on the floor that day and according to her she was working with another student only a few feet away from the area where Ms. [redacted] was being serviced. The student asked Ms. [redacted] for advice after she discovered the condition of the client's hair. After careful observation, the client was told that due to health and safety reasons we would not be able to do the service. This was done in a courteous and respectful manner.
I would like to point out that the staff at Southwest follows all regulations of The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. This includes sanitation and the health and safety of our clients, students, and staff.
Ms. [redacted] is certainly sorry that Ms. [redacted] felt offended and she has offered to call and relate that to her.
[redacted], President
