The secretary ([redacted]) has been unable to work with my insurance company ([redacted]) to pay for a preventative service (flu shot).I received a flu shot from SW Durham Family Medicine in October 2014. The RN that have the shot was very knowledgeable and professional. As I was leaving, the secretary, [redacted], requested that I pay a $25 co-pay. I knew that my insurance fully covered preventative services, so I told her that I didn't think I needed to pay. She said she would file it with the insurance company and bill me if there was any required co-pay.Several weeks later [redacted] calls to tell me that I didn't have insurance coverage when I got the flu shot. I reminded her that I was covered by two insurance policies from March 2014 until Jul 2014, after which I had [redacted] only. I then sent her pictures of the active insurance card (which I had already given her during the first visit in early 2014).I called [redacted] and confirmed that the flu shot should have been covered. The representative mentioned that the secretary probably went to [redacted], instead of **, where my insurance is located.I left a message with [redacted] explaining this.Several months passed, until March 2015, when [redacted] sent me the same bill again. I called her and she seemed unwilling to perform her job. I then filed this complaint.Desired SettlementI would like them to successfully deal with my insurance company to have them pay for the flu shot.
