Southpaw Home Remodeling

Review: I was under contract with Southpaw Home Remodeling LLC the 2nd week of May 2013 for a kitchen remodel and [redacted], the contractor and owner, violated our contract by not finishing my kitchen remodel by our set date in our contract which was June 12, 2013. Today is July the 4th, 2013. All monies were paid in accordance with our contract. Our contract specified he was suppose to take the debris away and he did not. What kind of contractor says he has to check the contract to see if he can paint the window sill when you are totally gutting and painting anyway, or tries to not put GFI outlets in your back splash cause he thinks you ignorant to the fact? [redacted] began making this experience very uncomfortable and not professional. He began coming late, leaving early, missing days sporadically, even missed over a week with excuse after excuse, not to mention his taking on other jobs on my time when I was paying him. This is the reason he didnt' complete my kitchen remodel in a timely fashion. He chose to not put our contract first and do what he wanted to despite our written contract. I tried everything in my power to put up with the disrespect of showing up late, arguing, no shows for as long as I could. He mutilated my sink base cabintet by cutting out approx 3.5"x7" to cut around the hot/cold feeds with shut off valve's attached to save money on sweating in new copper plumbing. This is week number 7. I, nor my family can wait no longer for him to complete my job. I told him not to come back to my house and that I would find someone else to finish the work. I would not recommend him to anyone.Desired Settlement: Money for damaging my cabinet, violating our contract, having to pay somenone else to finish what is not complete, and for the inconvenience of not having my kitchen.
