Review: Southern Westchester Urgent submitted labs for Hepatitis BS anitbody and Hepatitis BS Antigen that was not requested. Proof of this vaccine administration was provided to the office via fax and verbally stated. Dr. [redacted] did not have permission from me to submit this to the Sunrise Medical Laboratories. Sunrise Laboratories is now sending me a bill in the amount of $185.52 for this vaccine. I have spoken to Lowes at the billing office of Southern Westchester who stated that she would send me proof that the Hepatitis labs were never requested so that I can present it to Sunrise Laboratories. A week and half past today and I have yet to receive any such document. So I contacted the billing department of Southern Westchester today to follow up. I was now directed to call [redacted] at [redacted] to file a complaint of care. A message has been left for [redacted] and I will continue to reach out to [redacted] via phone or in person to get this settled. I am requesting help with this billing issue because the facility added an unnecessary charge to my bill that I never requested nor needed. As a registered nurse in a hospital vaccines for Hepatitis are a requirement. Actually on July ** 2013 I sent via email all my vaccines, ppd, and medical history so that she could use that information without charging me for the same procedures.Desired Settlement: I would like Southern Westchester Urgent Care to handle the bill for the Hepatitis Antibody and Antigen with Sunrise Medical Laboratories since they mistakenly submitted labs for test. I did not order this hepatitis blood work for it was completed at my place of employment. Because I was everything out of pocket, I provided Dr. [redacted] with proof of documents so that I would not have to pay for things that were already done.

Response:
Dear Representative of Revdex.com,
I am responding to complaint #[redacted]. This patient came
into our urgent care for a school physical. Her forms indicated CLEARLY
that she needed to have MMR titers and Hepatitis antigen titers yearly. That is
exactly what the doctor did. We sent the Labs out to an outside
laboratory and they performed exactly what the doctor order and what
was on her forms.
Moving forward I faxed over a request to the lab to discount
the service fee as a courtesy to the patient. I also spoke with the Lab
representative. As soon as I hear from them I will inform the patient of
the outcome.
Thank you
