I would not give them any starsYES, it was that badI started calling customer services minsafter I arrivedMy family and I were at Ocean Reef #601, in Panama City Beach, FL for Labor DayI can't believe anyone would find it acceptable or presentable for customersThe Master bedroom, which have been the best room was the worstI enter to find wadded toilet paper on the dresserThe comforter was not only worn out, but it had several large oily stains on itThe shams had dried droop and smeared deodorant stainsThe bed wasn't even properly madeThe comforter looked as if someone had gotten out of bed and thrown it overThe white shower curtain had a large, pink bleeding stain and black ink marks on itOne of the bunkbeds had a comforter with blood stains on itThere crumbs left on the counter and on the stoveThe loveseat had white stains on itThe brown chair was tornSomeone had torn the "faux" leather from the armThe other chair had stains on itThere was dust on the wooden furniture liked no one had dusted in months
I can't believe they would have thought anyone could have found such conditions acceptableDespite calling twice and being told a housekeeper would come and new sheets brought, this did not occur until THE NEXT DAY (after my family and I washed the others)After several phone conversations, with several people, I finally spoke with *** *** in Guest Services, who offered an insincere apology, told me my experience was not enough to warrant a discount on my stay, but a late checkout was the best he could do for meI attempted to speak with *** *** the General ManagerI left several messages, but I received no callI had really expected better of upper managementThis reflects even worse on the company
Needless to say, I will never deal with Southern Vacation Rentals, again! This experience left me totally disgusted, dissatisfied, and grossly disappointedI work in a customer service industryWe would never handle a situation in such a mannerThe actions and responses (poor as they were) simply implied: We do not value you as a customerDespite any replies they may or may not offer, I have no reason to lieI just hope no one else has to have an experience like ours
