Southern Charm Apartments

I am responding to the complaint that I received ID ***The former tenant of the apartments is upset that he did not receive his deposit back in the full
amount of $I acquired the apartments in January and only two of the apartments were rented at the timeAfter the former tenant moved out, I looked at the apartmentThere were large areas that needed to be repaintedThe blinds were broken and there was a burned whole in the carpetThe damages far exceed the $depositHowever, since I acquired the apartments after this tenant already was a resident, I agreed to give him back half of his deposit and split the costI feel that the damages listed justifies not returning any of the depositHe has argued that none of the apartments have been painted in five to seven yearsHowever, norie of the other apartments are in the condition of the one that he vacatedI have spoken with the former leasing agent of the apartments and she was not aware of the above damages when this apartment was leasedI am sorry for the discontentment, however, I feel that I have been more than fair by giving back half of the deposit
