Had horrible black mold in finished basement laundry room n garage. Got three estimates. Decided to go with Gregory [redacted] of SF&HI. Bid was not highest or lowest but his articulated plan for renovation that would not only eliminate the black mold which was three foot high on some walls, but the finished product would be a new finished basement, instead of one bid which was lower but we'd be left with cement block walls. It was refinished with mold resistant plasterboard, painted my favorite shade of blue, painted ceiling, new rug and rug up steps. Pipes in garage wrapped so they sweat less, etc. Greg was a bit of a obsessive compulsive, which I like in my surgeon n the guy whose idea of a finished basement not only matches my vision but exceeds it not only visually but in the quality underneath the showy part. Polite, on time, n hauled away what he ripped out, which some peo warned me wouldn't happen.

Southerland did a whole kitchen remodel for us. They laid new hardwood flooring, fit new appliances, and worked with our carpenter, [redacted] Cabinetry, to make sure all the fixtures and cabinets were perfect. I would recommend Southerland to anyone looking for quality work done on their house.
