Property damaged during tree removal, compensation promised but never receieved even after numerous follow-ups.
The crew from Southeast Tree came out on December 7th, 2018, to remove 3 large pine trees from the property. In the process of removing the trees, the driveway was stained with fluid from a leaking hydraulic hose, the driveway was badly cracked in several spots due to the impact from the falling sections of tree, 2 crepe myrtles in the center of the yard were damaged, and the yard had a large rut left in it from dragging the debris down to the road.
I attempted to contact Clint after the crew left and was finally able to contact him a few days later, and sent him photos of the damage on December 12th, 2018. Clint agreed to have a crew come back out to patch the yard, remove the damaged crepe myrtles, and treat the driveway to remove the staining from the hydraulic fluid. He also agreed to provide a stipend for getting the driveway repaired, as well as pruning the remaining crepe myrtle.
His crew came back out on December 27th and took care of the yard, driveway, and removed the damaged crepe myrtles, but did not prune the remaining tree, and I was told to follow up with Clint regarding the stipend check for the driveway.
I sent follow-up messages on January 7th and January 11th with no response. I sent a 3rd message on January 18th, at which time I was told that he would follow up when he arrived back in town on Tuesday (January 22nd).
On January 23rd I sent a message to Clint again since I hadn't heard from him the previous day. I then proceeded to message him on January 29th, February 11th, February 27th, March 13th, and April 23rd. After the message on the 23rd, Clint called me and said he was sorry, that if I'd give him my address he'd make sure to get the check in the mail. I gave him the address over the phone, and when I hadn't heard anything in the next few days, I messaged him the address again on April 29th. After that, I messaged him again on July 1st, July 19th, and August 5th, resending the address and informing him I had not yet received any check.
I simply want the job finished properly. I want the remaining crepe myrtle trimmed as per our agreement, as well as a stipend check to cover the damage to the driveway.
Due to the nature of the this business, some damage is unavoidable and we do everything in our power to avoid it. The driveway was already severely cracked, but we acknowledge that we added a few more. In regards to the damaged to plant and grass, we have been out twice to repair and even took down another tree at no charge. Our apologies for the oversight of the stipend and will submit immediately. We have restructured our office policies and staff so this will not happen again.
Despite being promised that a stipend check would be issued and sent, it has been a month from date of response and I still have not received a check.
The Office manager that was in place has been Fired. Ck will be hand delivered today. Our Apologies

I had Southeast Tree quote clearing my property. The quote was very clear on what needed to be done regarding the scope of work, but when the team arrived to do the job, the site manager called the owner and the owner then tried to almost double the quote before setting foot on my property to see what needed to be done. (I can provide copies of the quote with scope of work). I had already called the other tree services and told them I was going with another company, so this was really upsetting to me when this occurred since I now have to call other tree services back. I would not use this company since they do not honor their commitment for the scope of work quoted.

We have been in business for 20 years and value every customer and potential customer. As with any business, training staff has a learning curve and I have addressed those potential issues with item 12 in my terms and conditions, stating that I reserve the right to turn down bids provided by trainees that are way out of line. We can't pay the customer to do their job.
I received a call from my operations manager upon arrival to said job and he informed me that the price on his work order didn't make sense as the dollar figure reflected a time frame one third of what it would actually take. The original quote that was provided came from a trainee that did not follow procedure and was not qualified to bid such a large Job and consequently is no longer with SE Tree.Com. I explained the situation to the customer and she agreed that his quote was by far the lowest. I proceeded to offer her a competitive figure based on my managers assessment of how long the job would take and she refused. I apologize for you having to make phone calls, but Sending the crew over there cost me $800 of crew time and equipment for the 2hrs they spent. We will implement new procedures to avert this situation going forward.

Unfinished tree service and damage to gutter pipe
We had the STE came and cut trees on 4/13 (friday). We have the two on going unfinished tasks which they promised to do that on 4/16 (monday)
1.The crane which used to move the logs damaged one of the gutter pipe clamp which was attached to the side wall, which eventually brought the gutter pipes fell down.
They have one person showed up and promised to call me back and till date no one called me. With the on going rain, I have my side walls getting damaged due to the water just falling without the gutter pipe.
2.The tree which was trimmed on the side yard was left incomplete as the top branches was left as is. *** (supervisor) said he didn't have space in the truck to accommodate the cut branches. He had worked with my neighbor without any scheduled job with them, to cut their trees and that took a lot of space, which left a unfinished job in my yard.
I contacted them on 4/16 and several times that week and we have been told to have someone come and take care of that that week of April 23rd and no one showed up. Again we called the following week and no one turned up to fix anything. I called again on 5/3 and was told that some one will come the following day on 5/4. One person came and he said he needs to get a ladder and a tool to come and fix it and never showed up or called me back.
I even spoke to *** on 5/10 and he promised me to take care of that on the same day. Nobody called or showed up to take care of this issue so far. I have followed up with an email as well on 5/14.
With all the promises to take care of the issue by the owner, nothing is getting taken care.
I hope this Revdex.com complaint will make them take the issue seriously and take care of this issue immediately.
Take care of the following unfinished tasks by 1. Trimming the tree branch which was not done during the tree service 2. Fix the gutter pipe and the clamp which was damaged by the service personnel.
As a company, we value customer service. We have been in business 22 years with an A+ business rating through the Revdex.com. What happened at this customer's residence was an unfortunate mistake, one in which we have taken every measure in our power to correct. We can certainly understand their frustration over the inconvenience and at this time have taken all of these steps to make things right for the customer:
We hired and paid for a professional gutter repair company to come out and replace the entire down spout.
We have offered the customer a refund for their inconvenience.
We have trimmed the tree that was requested after the approval of the original work they referenced at no additional cost.
We have contacted the customer on several occasions to apologize for the inconvenience and asked if the repairs were to their satisfaction. At this time we have completed everything the customer has asked of us and more and ask only for the customer to please not take one isolated incident and hold it against our company.

After Hurricane Irma hit our area we were in dire need of getting some trees taken down especially one that was between the houses and leaning towards our neighbors house. After getting a number of quotes and the tree seeming to lean more and more everyday, we decided to go with Southeast Tree service since they had the best quote and seemed to be very professional. Colin and his staff were out the next day to take down our trees! Luckily the dangerous leaning tree came down first, since the crane broke down after that. Colin and his team left with a promise of returning in two days to finish the job. They actually came in 3 days but considering all the folks needing trees down in our area, I have no complaints. They came back finished the job in record time! Very professional and service oriented! I highly recommend them!
