Southeastern HVAC came to fix our cooling unit. When they came, they left the P-Trap drain on top of the unit causing a leak which damaged inventory.
A few days after Southeastern HVAC came to fix our unit we noticed a water leak in our restaurant. Thinking we had a roof problem we contacted a roofer to check it out. They determined no problems with the roof but saw something unusual about the HVAC unit and called AirTight (HVAC).
AirTight saw that the P-trap drain was not placed back and was left on top of the unit. This was causing excess water to leak on through the roof onto our inventory.
I called Southeastern about this, spoke with [redacted] (one that performed the work), and informed him of our problem. I asked them if they would pay for the service call to fix our leak by AirTight and the damaged inventory, he said "it's not our problem, your unit is old and you need to replace it". He denied any wrong doing.
Because of the incompetence of the Southeastern tech we now spent $322.29 (southeastern) + $419.38 (AirTight) + plus damaged inventory because of the leak. Our unit is still non-operational.
We need to be reimbursed for the service call to AirTight and damages to inventory caused by the work done by Southeastern business malpractice/misconduct.
