To Whom It May Concern, Thank you for taking the time to explain why The Deck Tech has not met your expectation regarding the leak on your screen porch Our goal is to build elite level products and provide the same level of customer service We were made aware of a leak shortly after the project was completed, as stated in the complaint the issue was “water leaking in the room under the window only in heavy blowing rain” In a attempt to resolve to leak we sent our carpenters out to fix the problem, After examination of the problem the common conclusion was a caulking was not holding up and letting water in Unfortunately it took several attempts to locate the problem area and conclude that the issue was fixed When it comes to leaks it has to be a trial by error approach because we cannot spray water on area until it cures and then we know if it fixed the issue or not, in the [redacted] case this took several attempts Fortunately the issue is resolved as of now with no more leaking We have reviewed this incident to learn from it and how to prevent this from happening again Our customers are the back bone of our company and without them we do not exist, we acknowledge the communication on our end should have been better and also examined how we can accomplish these types of repairs in a quicker more seem less manner so it’s not a inconvenience for the homeowner as it was in this case We have taken this issue very seriously as a learning experience for all involved and will make the necessary changes We hope that [redacted] gives us the opportunity to show the changes made because of this, it’s easy to fix leaks but harder fix relationships and that is something we value tremendously Thank You For Your Concern,The Deck Tech
