I purchased from the owners of South Forty Feed Mill in Shawano, WI, sight-unseen, what was supposed to be laying-age hens & Guinea hens, trusting the integrity of that local business owner whom I have frequenty patronized; when I opened the burlap bags containing the birds at home I found Guineas and hens and roosters, all being the most sickly-looking birds with featherless, [redacted] behindsThey overcharged me for one extra bird besides selling me a sickly flockI could have easily forgiven the shorted bird as an honest mistake but the failure to mention the obviously diseased condition of the birds is inexcusable
My husband and I went to the south fourty in shawano to get shavings. The owner almost refused to sell shaving even though we have been shopping there for years before he bought the business a few months back. The owner was rude and kept talking about how I did not take care of my horses very well. I feed the top feed and just because he did not carry it he said it was no good. Then he started talking bad about mares, me being a mare lover I took offence to that. He also had a filthy mouth and did not have respect for our business.
