Hello BBB In looking into the situation it appears this customer was put on the shutoff list for non-payment per our standard policy. During this same timeframe, a leak of 4.5 gal/min was also discovered at the residence through our water metering system. As a courtesy to customers,... if a leak is discovered, a note is left informing the customer of the leak. If the leak is large, and no one is home, the water is often turned off for the customer. Customers are advised to look for the leak within their home or irrigation system. We cannot determine the cause of a leak, but inform customers when water is continuously running. This often prevents them from receiving a large unexpected bill at the end of the month. Payment was received from the customer and water service was restored promptly after this payment was received. We apologize for any confusion caused by the simultaneous conditions. We strive to treat all customers in a fair and courteous manner. I have attempted to contact the customer by phone but have not received a reply thus far. Best, [redacted] [redacted]
