The delivery date was 9/9/15, the claim was submitted on 12/22/15, per the military business ruleswhich are also listed on the attached notification of loss or damage at delivery "WILL NOT be eligible forloss or damage recovery by the Transportation Service Provider (TSP}
or Government for any item notidentified within day period after delivery." This document by signed by Mr***In the review ofthe file, it was discovered that there was not any notification of damage provided to the TSP within thedays allowed by the militaryThe first time that notification of damage or loss was provided was atthe time that the claim was filed which was days after the deliveryBased upon the regulations theclaim was denied
In regards to the communication, the adjuster reviewed the claim on 2/8/16, within the daytimeframe required by the military to adjudicate a claim and discovered that the claim was transferredto the Military Claims Office (MCO} in the government based system, DPSNo further action can betaken by the TSP once a claim is transferred to the MCO, at that point the MCO would need toadjudicate the claim and make a settlement decision.Mr*** reached out to us in regards to his claim and it was discussed that in order for the adjuster toreview the claim it would need to be transferred back to the TSP in DPSOnce this occurred, theadjudication resumed, and the individual reviewing the file missed that the notification of loss ordamage was not provided by Mr*** within the days and ordered for an inspection to beconducted of the claimed itemsAfter receiving the inspection report, the adjuster reviewed the fileand identified that the notification of loss or damage was submitted after days from delivery andtherefore the claim was denied
