We had Sound Proof install James [redacted] cement board siding and trim on our home and could not be happier The crew was very professional and courteous The workmanship was excellent The site was cleanextremely well The crew was so thoughtful, they even brought our garbage cans in from the curb after garbage pick-up I have only positive things to say and could write an extremely long review, but will leave it at this You will not be disappointed

We had Sound-Proof Windows & Siding install James Hardie Stucco Cement Board & Hardy Trim on the face of out Tudor-style home/garage We have nothing but postive things to say; from John, the salesman; Tim, the owner; to our two installers Tim came out three times in the five days installation took to be sure all was going wellHe also asked us outside each time to view what was done and that what was done in different stages met with our approvalHe also verified that it all was what was on the estimateThen he explained what was going to be done in the next stageJohn even stopped by after doing an estimate in the area to be sure all was going well and that we were happy with the progressWe had one piece of damaged stucco cement board, which they promptly reordered, and then they pieced an end section until the new board arrived so the house would not be exposed to the elementsThe new board was installed about two weeks later (at no extra cost to us) and it all looks beautiful! Our yard & their work areas were cleaned of any debris at the end of every work day and they re-mounted our address numbers above the garage & front of the house and reinstalled our doorbell We would definately recommend Tim & at least the installation crew we had, to anyone looking for this type of work Our only regret is that we failed to ask that a piece of scrap trim board be left for us so we could match paint color for our wood porch spindlesI might suggest that the installers ask the customer if they would like any of the scrap product for any such purpose

It is my pleasure to submit this review for Sound Proof Windows and Siding I am very pleased with how everything turned out with our project Every step of the project was executed with precision The sales and quoting process was made simple by Tim and John They were both very responsive to my questions and concerns the timing from Quote to Completion was very quick I think we started the quote process in late April and completed the first week in July This included the quote, measure, order, and installation process
The team that executed the installation process was great The quality of the work is second to none After they were finished with the work I did a complete walkthrough of the house and could not find any mistakes Everything looks great and it looks like a brand new house

I hired Sound Proof Windows & Siding to replace two roofs and gutters on two of my homes After completion, my Husband inspected both roofs; only to find a nightmare !!! The "little" house: They never took off the felt paper The ice and water shield was installed incorrectly They never removed the existing drip edge They ran out of shingles, they brought more out that were the wrong color There were nails protruding from the brand new shinglesNails were exposed and piercing through the singles There are approximately 15-shingles that were cut with a razor knife The gutters that were installed were not pitched properly, therefore holding waterThe "big" house: The existing drip edge was not removed Nails penetrating along the rake edge Felt paper installed incorrectly Improper headwall flashing installed Step flashing not properly installed Lead pipe flashing; installed 5" shouldv'e been 4" All of the metal vents were severly dented Numerous nail heads exposed Since the existing drip edge was not removed by the roofers, when the gutter guy went to install the gutters, he couldn't remove the screws So....he took a grinder and removed them Yes, a grinder, leaving 2-3" of drip edge, just gone We then gave him the opportunity to fix the mistake OMG !!! The repair was worse than the original install (if that's what you'd call it) He installed the drip edge upside down and backwards My shingles are all protruding in an upward postition He then wanted to get paid for the balance ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!!! I've requested a refund from Tim *** because I need new roofs and gutters on both homes If you are looking for a complete nightmare and want a completely crap job on you home and want to do things twice.....call Tim *** of Sound Proof Windows and Siding After all of this, I've come to realize he isn't a licensed roofer through *** (*** *** ** *** *** *** *** It is illegal in Illinois to install roofs without a license He never gave me the "Know Your Rights" pamphlet His contracts and estimates do not show his roofing license number (illegal in Illinois) You would simply be a fool to hire this company I have MANY photos to back up my review Feel free to contact me ***

I would like to say thank you to Tim and the guys for a great job on our home!! The attention to detail was amazing!! The whole process from start to finish ran real smooth, from the secretary to the last nail. The caulking was perfect , Tim was on the ball with every change, We love our home now, its like everytime we come home from work it feels like a new home. Thank you Tim and SoundProof , We Love it!!!!

Had a pesky window leak that was difficult to figure out. Tim performed a very thorough analysis and was onsite for the repair a few days later. He brought a crew of 4 and the two senior installers did most of the work. He had me watching every step of the way and provided detailed commentary and answers to my questions. They managed an intricate siding removal, leak repair, and siding re-installation in under 1.5 hours without any hitches. The repair was flawless. I was delighted with the whole process and the professionalism of SoundProof. This is the gold standard when it comes to windows & siding.
