Sound Choice Cremation & Burial

Bad experience. After Dads dealth. They took money for celebrant that canceled doing Dads service.Still has not refunded the $250.00 after many calls
First impression of Sound Choice and Funeral Director (Kimberly) was professional, caring, informative and company had great reviews.
Reality: Company was sold between our family signing with Sound choice and our Dad's Dealth.
They took our money quickly -did not inform our family of sale. Had issues with their celebrant. Their celebrant refused to perform service with in 4 days of service. Since Spet 10th been trying to get the refund returned from their celebrant cancelling and leaving us at last minute with no celebrant. Sound choice owes our family $250.00 and been calling their office (kimberly and Valerie) several times a week since Sept 10th. Kimberly and Valerie dont even know how to return the money or who to talk to to get our money returned.
-After Dad passed and the new company took aver my Mom and sister went in to do the final paper work with took well over an hour and should have taken a few minutes. My Moms health is not well and this was very stressful. Sound choices office did NOT know how to work the new software program from the sale.
-Kimberly company was 24hr service. Apparently that is only to pick up the body. Dad passed on Sept 1st. Mys sister asked what hasspens next-driver said someone will call you tomorrrow. No call so my sister called and got answering serive and answering service stated they are closed and someone will call you tuesday. Really this is satureday-what haapened to the 24 hour service. Also they came to pick up my Dad in a mini van and did not even have the Flag draped on his body properly. Bad experience!!!
-Then when we were scrampling for a celebrant at the last minute Kimberly gave us a couple names. One of the Names we already called but Kimberly did not know. Kimberly said she would charge $450.00. Sahme on you KimberlyShe charged $250.00. Gues they were going to pocket the other $200.00.
-Now unhappy with our choice but stuck we kept calling Sould choice to make sure each step was done. They should have been calling us to let us know each step was done.
-Not a good experience at all with Sound Choice. Beware!!!! When you are looking for a company that follows thru, gets things completed, and shows compassion this is not the company. And as of 10/19/18 we still do not have the $250.00 refund for their celebrant cancelling after it has been promised overnight delivery refund at least 2 times. The office manager Valerie has been trying but does not know who she is talking toGets emails back from overseas????? Beware-Not a good experience no family that looses a family member should not have to go thru this.

Sound Choice was exceptional in their handling of my husband's cremation arrangements. Kay W. facilitated the services that were provided, and she could not have been more caring and supportive. I highly recommend this place. A very dear friend was also cremated here, and her family had the same exceptional experience.
