This has been a tumultuous experience and I’d love to report this to someone so that they could try to streamline this process and make it more accessible for others.
Now I I must pay for more transcripts so that I can enter this information this is very costly and is costing me seven dollars per transcript mind you? Yet you very clearly offer that I could pay someone to do this via your subsidiaries - Is this a cash for admission program or is this a qualification based admission process - If you are going to receive the official transcripts from the school why do I have to enter them into the system?
Frustrated after several calls with SOPHAS to learn that apparently the Parchment service is at fault, as I was charged for the transcript and PTE, I sent another transcript yesterday that was received an hour later. I also entered in all my transcript contents into SOPHAS, since PTE will take several days and I would miss my deadline. Unfortunately, SOPHAS refuses to attach my received transcript to my application in less than 7-10 business days. They have it, and they won't link it to my account. Because of this ridiculous processing time, I will not be considered at several of the schools that I applied to, which was incredibly frustrating.
Beyond that, SOPHAS will not administer refunds of any kind. The PTE which I cannot use? No refund. The transcript which I paid for which never was processed? No refund. The applications that I submitted which are now void because of SOPHAS' inability to notify me earlier or literally just spend 2 minutes uploading my received transcript to my account? No refund. I've lost hundreds of dollars and the chance to be considered for programs that I applied for.
I am beyond livid and have never been treated so rudely by a company that I am dishing out huge amounts of money to. What a scam. The staff I've encountered make it incredibly clear that when they mess up, you just need to shut up and hand over more money or you're not going to be applying for any schools. In case it wasn't obvious before now, SOPHAS isn't interested in helping prospective grad students.
I wish I have read your review before, I am having exactly a same situation and when I called them they were so rude.
All applicants are able to view when transcripts have been processed to their account. They can view this information in the "Check Status" section of the application, and they receive an email notification, and a message notification within their application. We advise all applicants to send each...
transcript with the matching transcript request form to ensure accurate and timely processing. As I do not have the applicants information, I cannot look up the specifics on the what happened with the transcript. However, all transcripts are required for a SOPHAS application to be considered complete. I'm not sure how a transcript could be mislabeled as each transcript receives it's own cover-sheet that matches the transcript to corresponding school. If a transcript was not processed to the correct school, the SOPHAS application would be in the Received status, and not Complete. The programs in which the applicant is applying has access to their application once they submit. When applicants create their application, they sign an agreement stating that they have fully read, understand and agree to all policies found within the Instructions & FAQs as well as the SOPHAS Admissions Code of Cooperation. We inform all applicants that it is their responsibility to monitor the status of the application. As noted above we provide a "Check Status" page to make this process easier. We have a dedicate customer service team available to help applicants with any application questions. The benefit of using a CAS system is that applicants can apply to multiple programs using one application, decreasing time and expenses of applying to multiple schools. SOPHAS is a service of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health and many CEPH-accredited schools and programs choose to participate in the CAS.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
I understand your response, but the error that I made the complaint about was not my error, it was your error and it did have to do with the cover pages. Your employee mislabeled one of my transcripts.
