On Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7:04 a.m. I placed an order using the Sonic app. Mobile order #***/ticket number #*** was submitted and a payment of $8.22 was deducted from my account. After arriving at the site I immediately updated the app with my arrival and lane #3. My name appeared on the screen and the app advised me that my order was being prepared. After sitting at the location for 15 minutes without any updates, I pressed the red carhop button for assistance and didn't get a response. I then dialed the business number (***) @ 7:18 a.m. and 7:23 a.m. and no one answered. As a last resort I drove around to the drive through window and realized Noone was at the location. It's now 7:24 a.m. I have no breakfast, I've been charged $8:22 and I am almost late to work.
I tried calling numerous times throughout the day. Someone finally answered the phone at 4:59 p.m. I explained the situation and was asked do I want to come get the food now. I told the female 'No, I don't want breakfast food, and asked if they will be open tomorrow at 7 am. She then giggled and said she doubt they would be there. I asked to speak with the general manager who came to the phone after I was put on hold for about five minutes. I explained the situation again and was told "okay do you want to come by and get the food now." I said "no". He then said what do you want me to do? I told him he could start by apolozing to me for the inconvenience. I asked if they would be there at 7 in the morning and he said they usually open around 7:45 or 8. He said they used to open up at 6 a.m. but because of lack of business, they no longer did so. I expressed understanding the business need to change the hours of operation, but this change should be reflected on their website and mobile app. He agreed to refund the $8.22 back to my card. At this time my money hasn't been refunded nor have the hours been updated.
