Sonia Day Spa

Review: I received two gift certificates as gifts to Sonia Day Spa located in [redacted]. I was notified by friends that the spa had recently been bought by another owner. So I wanted to make sure to use the gift certificates soon. I had one certificate for $100 that I had used some from previous services and had about $52 left to use. When I went there on Wednesday 4/22/15 for services, they only honored 50% of this gift certificate (about $26). I also showed them the other certificate I had for $150 (Certificate # [redacted]), where they reduced to $50 from $150 and stated that they are only honoring a portion of it since it was from 12/2013. I thought gift certificates do not expire in **? There is no expiration on it either. I have the gift certificate showing the $150 certificate to $50 (where I lost $100 here) and another $26 from the certificate I used on 4/22/15.Desired Settlement: I would like the money that would be honored on the gift certificate back to me ($176). After the lack of professionalism to honor a certificate, I refuse to step foot in this place of business again. As a business owner my self, they should be ashamed of themselves for these unethical business practices.
