Sonesta Hotel Chesterfield MO

I had a reservation since my last trip on 2/25/21 for room 213, the same one we stayed in on the 25th. After having a battery of tests at the hospital, I can wait to get to the hotel and rest only to discover our room was given to someone else. We are now driving 5 hours home and have been on the road since 5 am
We got up at 4 am. We are sleepy and driving home in rush hour traffic. The man behind the counter at 3:00 pm was rude and acted like we were bothering him. He never apologized or tried to make amends. Just utter rudeness. This is a shame because the woman we dealt with on 2/25/21 on our 1st stay, was so very pleasant and helpful. She is the reason we liked the hotel. She made our stay so pleasant and reserved our room for 3/9/21 today. It is bad enough that we had no room and must drive back after a long day, but on top of it all, he was rude and uncaring. We stopped on our way from the hospital and purchased groceries to make a meal this evening. Now we have groceries that will go bad before we get home. I was sold on Sonesta before this encounter with a rude employee and will advise everyone I know to book a room elsewhere so you don't have the same experience.
