To Whom It May Concern,This letter is in response to the complaint number *** dated 5/18/2016.I am the owner of a bridal shop, I sell 'Off The Rack' Wedding Gowns, primarily sample gowns that have been tried on at other salons, some cancelled orders, some still in plastic from the warehouse but
NONE are represented as brand new or direct from the manufacturer and I do not take special orders- only sell what I have on the racksThey are sold as is, the nature of this business provides that what you see is what you getAlso, I do not employ a seamstress, all buyers are encouraged to seek the advise of a seamstress- I do allow a few to meet clients within the store but they are not employed by me-they are independent contractors and I do not guarantee their work or quote their pricesTheir actions and statements are their own and in no way reflect my opinion or my judgmentEssentially, you can tell by the 'complaint' written by this customer that she is irrational and looking for a refund on a gown that she purchased, it did not fit when she bought it and she wants a refund because it doesn't fitI have offered a store credit, to consign the gown she no longer wants, to find a gown she does want and a second opinion with another seamstress, all of which were flat refusedThere is not even a 'complaint' stated in the letter that was sent to me, she just is calling names and trying to slander meThe nature of this business requires a No Refunds, All Sales Final policyThe gown in question was purchased in March and the customer did not asked for a refund in MayManythings can happen in two months, weight gain, financial distress, marriage already took place, photos were takenThe policy is industry wide and commonplace for any formal gown to be refused a refund.She stated that she is aware of the no refund policy but thinks I should make an exception for herShe was upset about not meeting the seamstress she wanted to work with, the seamstress being late, recently losing her daughter...all of which had nothing to do with me.I have a glowing review left by the customer after she purchased the gown and several email messages back and forth showing my willingness to provide options to client but to no availI believe she had already chosen another gown and was looking to recover her money.Thank You,*** *** OwnerSomething Old, Something New Bridal BoutiqueWest Grand AvenueEscondido, CA 92025760-443-
