I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[redacted] Many of the statements made by [redacted] are pure fiction. What he leaves out is that he stated while here that he always informs prospective customers to not expect to receive AM reception and he was aware that his son (who he qualified as not being with him long in the business) did not inform me of same, nor did [redacted] Sr when I first contacted him by phone about availability and pricing etc. His claim of receiving "several" AM stations during his visit is totally ridiculous and was done using two different, huge external antennas! No one would have such an antenna in their home/kitchen! He further stated that the reason I received AM reception on my old Nutone intercom system was because the company has increased the voltage on the new unit and the AM radio picks that up as noise or static. [redacted]'s attitude while here was hostile and accusatory and he made me feel that it was my fault for expecting to enjoy the same functionality on my new, very expensive intercom system as we did with the old unit. If we were informed that we would not receive the promised AM reception the Nutone website boasts, we would have kept our old system! Both [redacted] Jr & Sr knew this unit would not allow me to receive AM stations BEFORE they ever installed the unit by virtue of them stating so and the increased voltage they say Nutone put in the new intercom. I couldn't be more disappointed with the Company, the intercom, the local Nutone representatives and the outcome.
A representative from our company discussed this matter with Mrs. [redacted] today. We have agreed to send out a replacement CentralVac unit (Model PP600) to help resolve this matter. My understanding is Mrs. [redacted] was satisfied with this offer and our follow-up.[redacted]

We contacted Mr. [redacted] today and provided authorization to cover any parts and labor costs under our warranty. Also provideda name of a local Service Company he can contact to perform the work. Mr. [redacted] was satisfied with our follow-up and suggestedcourse of action.

I am not surprised that the story Nutone is getting from their local rep. may differ but I remain emphatic that my statements are accurate and the actions/statements I observed from their local rep are totally factual. The AM radio or other components are of a poor design and was only made to work with the use of a huge external antenna! Also the reps admissions of a stronger transformer being responsible for at least part or all of the poor reception should be acknowledged by Nutone rather than treating a customer as a nuisance as their local rep and Asst. Technical Service Manager has. How would any consumer know of this transformer issue on their own?!Oh, one more thing, the clock in the Intercom base station runs fast and requires resetting!
