In response to [redacted] Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] :I accepted [redacted] NTV on Aug 5th for Aug 31st exitHer lease technically ended Jan 31,and that is where the early termination and accelerated rent charges of$ $camefromMy assistant didn't understand that I had accepted the early termination without any feesdue to how unhappy [redacted] had been hereI have now corrected the ledger and she will begetting $Only last charges were for Aug 1st to Aug 31st water-sewer-trash-fees of$71.77, she had a $refundable deposit on hand so that is why she is getting $backand not $200.00.I have sent her revised Ledger to our Accounting team in TX and as soon as they get it they willsend it to her on file forwarding address of [redacted] ***, Port Orchard, WA 98367.Please let me know if we can do anything further.Sincerely, [redacted] Senior Community Manager

most recent agreementI also told him via email that I would not be able to work with him further if the agreement was not honoredI also do not know what the issues are in his apartment currently because he refused to respond toy question about what his issues are as "you should know already"Also the lease contract was a six month lease and entered in the system in error but that situation has already been rectified due to the fact that all paper copies are kept in the office for the fear of human error with technologyI will be happy to do any work orders Mr*** has if he would just tell meI will not accept his rent unless it is in full because he did not honor his agreements that HE said he was going to do

The buildings are decent for being years old and the location is nice but Somerset Apartments are run by the worst management team in Okaloosa County I understand that policies exist for a reason but of all the places I have lived in Okaloosa (five) and of all the different places I have inquired about (around fifteen), no management or realtor has ever been as rigid and unprofessional as LeAnn and Letty ***
As a service member who constantly deploys to combat, puts my stuff up in storage, and looks for a new place to live as redeployment approaches, I have some pretty difficult circumstances that I have been able to work around with previous owners I've had to (e)mail notarized documents in, pay for deposits over the phone, ask for exceptions in order to have my keys ready for me when I get home from Afghanistan, etc But these two were having none of it
But beyond that....the TONE The ATTITUDE
The nerve to tell me that I need to put my fiancée up in a hotel (?!) when I get home because she can't move in until they process her application and she can't submit her application from her home country (she isn't from the US) Yea ok
The nerve to LAUGH when I requested that they ask the guy who had submitted PCS orders (and had told them he was leaving within a month) for an exact leave date so that I knew when to fly my fiancée in and whether or not I needed to reserve a hotel I can't make this up...they laughed at my logistical difficulties That's when I started looking for somewhere else to live and found something great soon after
And that's just to mention two incidents But its a common occurrence Any time you answer the phone you get the feeling you bothered them by asking them to do work Just having to deal with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum at the front desk is enough to want to make me look elsewhere I suggest you all do the same, especially if you are military

I am rejecting this response because: The issues with maintenance were mentioned in the emails that were exchanged, I was then told not to make a work order because these issues would be addressed by the managerI have paid previous late fees that were owed to Somerset apartments due to working out of town, and refused to pay the current late fees because of lack of cooperation regarding the issues within the apartmentI have vacated the premises and am expecting that this will not be placed on my leasing record due to unlivable conditions.

The staff is extremely careless about our needs, and usually takes weeks to get any kind of maintenance issue resolvedThe manager of the apartments is named Dallas and she is very rudeDoesn't try to resolve problems, all she cares about is we pay our rent ( which we always do)There's been a huge pile of very big rocks just lying around in the open where kids playVery unsafe to children and even adultsDallas is very shady when it comes to payments, and sometimes says that we didn't pay our rent, even when we show her our receipt and proof of paymentNot a good place to live, especially if you have a family
