On 10/19/15, our company received a warranty inquiry through our website. The consumer was inquiring about the warranty for the tint on his windshield which was applied by a third party installer and not part of our company. Our Warranty...

department responded the morning of 10/21/15, explaining to the consumer that it is illegal to have tint on your windshield in the state of Florida without a medical exemption and therefore the tint is not covered under warranty-this is clearly stated on the warranty card the consumer received. Our Commercial team and Warranty department were in communication with the consumer for several days prior to the Revdex.com complaint being filed.

We offered to remove the tint and replace the film at no charge above the AS1 line on the windshield which is a legal installation in the consumer's state. The consumer refused.

We also explained to the consumer that a medical exemption is required to have the film installed on a windshield in order to be compliant with the state law. We are continuing to work with the consumer to reach a mutually agreeable resolution. As the Revdex.com can certainly appreciate, our company cannot and will not accommodate any request which would be in violation of applicable law.
