Solid K9 Training

My dog was cut by his prong collar the first week. I was never told. My dog lost 1/5 of his body weight and I was not told. I saw when I visited. Somehow they blamed me. Jeff does not train the dogs in Providence. He lives in Florida and has a few young girls running the board and train. There is no guarantee. For $6,000 my dog still had extreme anxiety and aggression. When I complained to Jeff he said "he is just an aggressive dog ". Well then what the hell did I lose my dog for six weeks for? Jeff is over the dog training thing he is a social media influencer. This "training " is not for little dogs or big dogs for that matter. You will be blamed when your dog immediately reverts to past behavior. My vet warned me, I should have listened. Watch how Jeff reacts to this review.

My husband and I have two dogs and both of which have been through the Solid k9 Training Board & Train program. It was really amazing to witness the transformation of both dogs, who each had a different set problem behaviors. Not only did our dogs gain confidence and respect and trust in the humans around them, but my husband and I benefited greatly also as we now possess the knowledge of being successful dog owners.... for LIFE! Our male dog who was diagnosed with EPI is a special needs dog as he cannot digest any food without special medication. He amazingly came home with additional weight on him which was a sure sign he wasn't stressed and was cared for as well as if not better than we care for him. The staff at SK9T provided an amazing level of care and attention to each individual dog and I could not ask for anything more in a training facility. We travel a great deal with work and can't always travel with our dogs so SK9T has become the ONLY place we would consider sending our dogs for Boarding... we are certainnly clients for life!

Our household was a shambles before we sent our 2 65lb rescue dogs off to Solid K9 for training. We didn't enjoy our dogs, they ran roughshod over myself and my housemate, knocked over furniture, never came when called, would be reactive to other dogs on walks to the point where we looked like complete is being dragged and tossed about at the end of their leash and we were just ready to throw in the towel. We had absolutely no control over them, and thought we were alone in this battle. Enter [redacted]. He explained that this is very common, and that we needed to establish *calm* leadership with our dogs. They spent 3 weeks at a board and train, and when they returned, we thought that our dogs had been exchanged for someone else's. They came when called...IMMEDIATELY. They would do DOWN or PLACE and never leave their place or mat till we released them. The dog that was chasing and persecuting my cat now ignored them. Our lives were changed dramatically. We now had the tools and the knowledge to keep our perfectly trained dogs, TRAINED.
It's been over a year and a half since they went to Solid K9, and they are still responsive and obedient and (most importantly) happy and well adjusted dogs who are valuable and integral members of our family. They now have the confidence, and the tools to make the "right choice" in every situation where previously they would escalate. We can't say enough good things about this business.
