This company is a scam. Read the complaints. Don't ever do business with them and especially do not be fooled by their promises of setting you up in your own solar panel business. It's all lies and they never do anything of what they tell you they are going to do for you. They took almost $20,000 from me and never produced one item they said they would. Now they are trying to become SolarUSA and leave all of us that paid them $20k out in the cold. Do not ever trust Joe Bruce or if you see the name Iliana Paz, be careful of her. They are liars, thieves and predators.
BEWARE!
This company is trying to install the product when we made it clear we had NOT decided if we wanted to do it, yet we can't reach them.
Salesmen for Solar dot were in our neighborhood trying to install solar panels on homes. Our neighbor was doing it, told us about it, and we reluctantly made an appointment for 9/7 to hear what they had to say. They came to the house 45 mins late without calling. We heard their spiel, but were not convinced we wanted to do it. We made this VERY clear. They asked for my husband's signature to run a credit check. We never knowingly signed any papers saying that we were agreeing to the installation of solar panels on our home. The salesman said he would email my husband the papers. To date, we have received nothing. They said someone would come to inspect the house 9/7 at 4:30pm. We arranged our schedule so that we would be here, and no one every came to our door. My husband called the salesman and was told it was done with LIDAR. He said he would send us the blueprints that resulted from the inspection. To date, we have received nothing. On 10/3, this company delivered solar panels for our home to our neighbor's home! And on 10/4 two packages that remain unopened arrived on our doorstep. All of this without any communication or paperwork from them. On 10/14 my husband received a text saying they are going to install on 10/18. He texted back that they were not to install anything to which they responded that they were going to install them or put a lien on us for the amount. My husband tried to call the salesman, but got voicemail, and his "mailbox is full." He texted but has received no response.
I want this company to not darken my doorstep ever again except to pick up the two boxes they had delivered without my consent.
We have been lied to and cheated with the installation and servicing of solar panels
A sales rep from then *** sold me a system for my residence in Homestead Fl in Dec of 2017. It took approx 3 months before anything started to take place with the installation (Mar 2018). There were multiple excuses. My gut told me to cancel it when I discovered my sales rep was let go by ***, but I didn't. I had already signed all the paperwork and I knew it would have been a legal issue. Eventually the system was installed. *** hired a third party company to install, and the system failed inspection. Another third party company was hired to fix the problem because the meter and cut off switch was not located outside the house etc. This dragged on for several months after multiple inspections by Dade County. Finally by Oct 2018 my system was up and running 10 months after signing the agreement, mind you at the time of sales the rep told me it would probably take 3 weeks. Since Oct 2018 I had one issue with one of my panels not working (June 2019). I had to call several times to *** to get someone out to the house to fix the problem. Thankfully it was an easy fix. Fast forward to August 13th 2019 and I have no power to panels. They are not producing any power. I called *** to advise the situation, only to discover they are out of business. I called ***, who financed my panels, and I was told to contact Solar Dot. Solar Dot responded they are not an installer or service provider to contact back to *** and or *** (***y) as they *** has my extended warranty covered. Solar Dot claims not to have any affiliation with Solar USA, but they have the same CEO of Joe ***. I have a signed document from the CEO of then *** Joe *** and an email from Joe *** as CEO of Solar Dot. DO NOT believe they are not affiliated. To make a long story short, *** and *** do not want to honor my extended warranty, allow I have my signature on the docs accepting the warranty, because apparently *** failed to pay for the warranty or submit the paperwork to have the service covered in my plan. So now I have panels on my roof, that less than a year later do not work. This is after a $28,000+ investment for 27 panels, and my 20 year extended warranty does not exist. I will have to go into my pocket and fork out the money to have my system troubleshooted. As per ***, their first call onsite is $300 which does not include any parts needed. That's for the first day, there will be additional cost if they have to come out any additional days. *** and Solar Dot have been extremely dishonest and from reading several reviews online after the fact, they have been dishonest to many customers. Someone needs to be held responsible. I will be contacting *** again to try and hold them reliable for the extra costs involved.
I am looking for someone to be responsible and fulfill what I signed for which was a 20 year extended warranty and repair my system at no added expense to me.
Do background checks before signing anything!
First of all, this company was USA Solar Inc. and decided to change names (ironically). Second, make sure you are working with responsible people meaning that all paper work is filed to the right agencies including HOA's, installation is properly done according to the plans submitted to the county, company hired to install panels are reliable and most of all make sure that you have a good customer service rep not one that promises you one thing and is the total opposite. We have been having issues with them since 8/2018. Joe and Amanda came over our house offering solar panels and convinced my husband for it. It took 2 months to get them installed. A out side company came to do the installation and installed them on the wrong side of the roof therefore our HOA started to send letters. HOA told us that they did not filed a form with them asking to put solar panels in our property and that was a requirement before placing anything. By the way they (Leah) told us that they did put the HOA form through. After multiple attempts to get someone to give us answers Leah told us that their attorney was working on this issue to not worry about it and she gave me the name of their attorney which is Megha *** and works for the offices of Alexis ***, P.A. in ***, FL. We called this "attorney" and she had an attitude with us. She was not professional what so ever and she was really nasty towards us. She basically implied that we should correct the problem ourselves that they were not going to do anything. When we checked on the county plans for the installation they did install them wrong plus one the way out they left in a rush because they had another job to do and hit my mail box. We hired an attorney to forced them to come and place the panels in the right position because they basically refused to fix what they messed up from the beginning. They came and moved a couple of panels with out letting us know and they still put them ion the wrong place again plus they did not repair the damages done on the roof when they moved them for the second time. Now we are in the process of suing them for something that should of been done correctly from the first time.
All we are asking is to DO WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO FROM THE BEGINNING and we would of avoid all these mess now.

Received, thank you. After reviewing this complaint I have found its under the wrong entity name, SolarDot has no affiliation with this customer. SolarDot does not install solar panels and was founded in 2019, currently has three customers which are franchises only. This customer was taken care of by USA Solar Inc Installer, Dividend Finance Financing, SST home extended service plan. Unfortunately USA Solar has went out of business and no longer able to service this customer service, the finance company will hold to that agreement offering a new contractor for service. The SST extended service plan is currently in contract with the customer to service the project for a 20 year period, this was put in place by dividend to protect customers if a contractor is unsuccessful. I hope this information help, this information can be verified in the customers signed agreement. They should have this in their email from when they signed up for the offering.

This company just decided to change its name to Solar Dot just to keep on taking advantage of people. If you visit their Facebook page which you can go straight from a link in their main page of the Revdex.com and USA Solar( ironically) you can read all the negative but yet coincidence on them. 90% of those customers wrote about the same experience with this company Now what Solar wants is to use my extended warranty; my money, to fix something that they should of done right the first time? Seriously? Just because you guys change the name of the company but yet stayed with the same CEO and secretary does not justify your lack of responsibility on multiple issues not only mines. In adding, it is obvious that because of its bad reputation under USA Solar now this Solar Dot company decides to open a new business now on March with only a license to sell and not to install. I wouldn't be surprise if all reviews submitted were written by the same so call "employees" from the company. Just be responsible and face all the customers that are complaining about the same problems so this so call new company can succeed.
SolarDot has no affiliation with this customer. SolarDot also has no affiliation with USA Solar. These are separate companies offering completely different services you can verify this on sunbiz two filings, EINs, and different partners involved. SolarDot does not offer solar service or installations it only offers a franchise opportunity approved by the SBA. The agreement for this customer is under three companies;
USA Solar Inc
Dividend Finance
SST Home Extended Service
You can find the contact info online or in the agreement the customer signed. They can find this agreement in their email thats on file with dividend. Dividend is financing the solar system for the customer and will respond with a new contractor to service the account since USA Solar went out of business in 2018. SST Home is an extended service plan that was purchased and required to protect customers in a situation where the contractor moves markets or closes.

Until our issue is resolve no other response will be accepted. I guess we will see you all in court.
no services provided.
The company installed the system about 3 months ago and started charging me without turning the system on and I keep calling them but they always say we will get back with you in the next 24-48 hours and they never do.
I keep calling every week and I still didn't get the system turned on.
Turning the system on and refunding the money that was charged before the system works.
Fast service! Easy installation with an explanation of the product, in this case, with a nest thermostat to control my electricity expense, huge game changer!
Thank you for the feedback!
