Review: On November 3, 2013, I ordered Corel Painter 4 Essentials, through Ebay from Seller, softwarebuyer.net. Eight days later I received it. I slid the disks out of its disk cover and noticed fingerprints on the disk. I down loaded the disk and the down load would not load correctly so I contacted Corel to assist me. Here is the conversation I recorded-[redacted] C: Hi ! My name is [redacted]. Welcome to Corel Chat Support Services! Question: Hello. I just tried installing Corel Painter Essentials 4, but when I click on the Icon on my desktop, it comes up with just a white page?[redacted] C: Thank you. I see in your account that the program is a bundled version. You: bundled? [redacted] C: Is this preinstalled in your computer? You: I got this as a gift, I put the disk in the computer and it installed, so it saidYou: the serial number does not match mine though...[redacted] C: The one that is registered is [redacted]You: P[redacted] is this why this is not working?[redacted] C: I'm checking the serial number's category. Kindly stay on the line. [redacted] C: Your serial number is valid as a sample program, not for resale. You: omg! This was sent to me from Ebay..so this is no good, right?[redacted] C: It shouldn't be sold. It's a sample or for evaluation release copy only. [redacted] C: If you still have a way to contact the reseller, please do so and request a refund. You: I am going to report this to Ebay CSR , I will and thank you very much You've ended the chat.The Seller only wants to give me $5.00 back to me if I do not spend more of my money to send it back in order to get the full refund. I just want my refund of $19.95 without spending more money to the seller by sending it back to Canada, this will cost me more money that I do not have. Ebay let me open a case as of November 13, 2013.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $19.95 due to an item that was NOT supposed to be sold and now the Seller wants me to spend more money to send it back to Canada or get a partial refund of $5.00 and keep the item that does not down load. *Keep in mind Revdex.com, this is fraud and all I ask is for a full refund per Corel.
