Despite reading some negative reviews on this company, I fell in love with a specific door and decided I would take a chance on them. The door was a very tall arched door , thick and made with a specialty wood. If I ordered a similar door here in the U S it would of cost thousands. I called and spoke to Sofia who was very ,knowledgeable,
personable and polite. I felt comfortable with her right away. I even brought up my concern regarding some of the reviews and she told me that they sell thousands of items per year and she is alone running the business here and sometimes it's hard to get orders created and delivered in a specific time frame so there are complaints as well but that she does her best to address them. So I took the plunge and ordered my door. Sometimes Sofia wouldn't get back to me right away and I would get nervous, but she always responded , even though sometimes it was days later . She didn't answer the phone often , but would answer my questions through email. Needless to say I received my gorgeous door a few days ago, it was much more beautiful in person than I even expected. It was perfect and came professionally packaged and in great condition. One of the problems with delivery was it was a very tall door so the transport companies were charging her much more than she quoted me so she had to find the right one to deliver. The delivery driver was amazing as well and spoke highly of this company. I do think she is overwhelmed with the amount of orders she has and I think she tries to do her best being a one man show. I would order from her again without hesitation and I recommend to anyone that would like to order one of these special products to not be afraid but to place your order , you will be thankful you did at the end. From what she told me , the door was created in Mexico and was sent to Texas where it was picked up I can't wait to order again!
This company is a scam. They charged my card and never delivered the product and will not answer voicemails or emails. Now it too late to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
I have placed at least 6 calls and sent 6 emails no response. Interesting when I had a question when ordering they returned the call. But not now.
I ordered a mirror in May 2022 it ib now Nov 28, 2022 and have not heard a word. I have sent messages 3-4 times. they have a phone number, but you can only leave a message which never gets returned.
Ordered and paid for a Talavera birdbath on June 29, 2022. Waited the expected "10 weeks" for delivery, which in itself is outrageous but doable for me, as it wasn't a rush purchase. Here it is, October 12, 2022, and I have received nothing - not an acknowledgement, not a refund, no contact. These people are grifters who seem to operate with impunity. Take heed of the voluminous complaints and bad reviews...or become a victim of this scam. Small claims court may be the only resolution, or perhaps a visit to this scammer's last known address in San Antonio to extract my stolen funds.
We are an online furniture retailer that offers custom designs to customers, and last year ordered thousands of dollars worth of pieces from Sofia’s. We sold some of their own designs and also sent them exclusive designs that we designed ourselves. We also sent multiple messages stating these were not to be reproduced (we have multiple messages), to which the owners agreed to. Not only did our orders take months longer than we were told, we received orders completely damaged, and we even had a headboard a customer of ours said broke down the middle while she was sleeping ! Every single order was damaged in some way, and we hired multiple people to try and fix every item. We spent nearly $25,000 in refunds and $10K repairs from what Sofia’s did to us. Not only that, they still haven’t sent $1500 worth of product after ordering over a year ago. There’s a reason their prices are so “cheap”. They illegally build in Mexico, they don’t state their pieces are built there, and market their products stating they are made in Texas when they are not. They are not detailed and your pieces WILL arrive messed up. They have no care in the world, as they know that they are in Mexico and nobody can go after them (or so they think). I have an attorney currently working on a case against them for everything they put us through. They have ignored us and will not return any message regarding our refunds and we are absolutely done with these shady people. Not only that, they reached out to our own customers, stole our designs, and are now selling our PATENTED designs. Our attorney is going after design theft as well as the financial stress they put us through with refunds and repairs. All I can say is RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN from Sofia’s Rustic Furniture, Lena Daniels & Ramon Serratos. I’m not the only business that has had this issue with them, my attorney and I have talked to 10 businesses that have had the same thing happen as well, which is why we all believe they ran to Mexico to avoid legal situations. Do not, whatsoever, buy from these people. Buy pieces MADE IN THE USA with quality and detail ! Just read through the multiple complaints on the BBB, and call a few of the large scale Western boutiques in Texas (D&D, etc), they will all confirm how terrible this “company” is. I was also sexually harassed by the owner Ramon Serratos, but that’s a whole different topic of discussion. By the way Sofia’s, stop posting fake positive reviews for your business. It’s obvious how fake those are.
I was drawn to the rustic, southwestern look of the furnishings pictured on their site and despite the fact that I didn’t live in Texas, nor did I see any reviews ( good or bad), I decided to take a chance on this company. I am so glad I did! I sent Lena a schematic of the hutch and TV stand I wanted built. She sent me a quote and then once I approved the price, I placed the order. During the next two months, Lena and I worked together along with the furniture builders to make certain every detail of my custom pieces were correct. We even FaceTimed once to be sure the placement of the shelves were correct. Three months later, our beautifully finished pieces arrived! My husband and I absolutely love them! After pricing out manufactured wood units the same size at local furniture shops and online at stores such as Wayfair and Houzz, we feel we received a much better product made of real wood and customized to our specific needs for the same price. And ours were made in America! I highly recommend this company! Keep in mind, this is rustic furniture which means the beauty is found within the minor imperfections. Each piece is hand made. This is not a site for those looking for machine manufactured perfection. I wish I could add photos, but when I try to do so, I receive a systems error.
[redacted] ordered 4 custom marquee signs. I gave her a $75 discount on the order in goodwill because she said the listed price was out of her budget. She came to pick up her items in person and accepted 3 of the 4 items. She did not take the last one because she felt it was too small (despite the fact...
that she did not specify measurements). After getting home with the items, [redacted] notified me that 2 of the ones she accepted did not look right. They looked just like the picture she sent me, but I was fine with making her new ones. She came by to pick up the replacements & took 2, but still felt that 1 in particular was not right. We finally got things right the 3rd time around. A few weeks later she contacted me stating that she was not happy with how long it took to get her product. I offered her a store credit and she declined. I offered her a $100 refund and she agreed. I put the $100 back onto her credit card on February 2nd. It's now been 3 months since I issued her refund & the fact that she wants an additional refund is surprising. At best, I can offer her another store credit of $75 + shipping on whatever she decides on. This now equals $175 in cash off the order plus another $75 credit plus shipping. I feel that is more then fair. Thanks!

You must be the only one who has actually gotten anything out of these grifters, or you are the grifter posting fake 5-star reviews.
These mojos...
