Customer indeed bought futon frame on 7/17. They purchased it directly off of our showroom floor. It was disassembled at our location in order for it to fit into the customer's vehicle. The futon frame was not damaged when it was loaded into customer's vehicle. Any damage would have been detected while the futon was sitting on the showroom floor or certainly as it was being disassembled by our warehouse technician. Any damage sustained to the futon would have occurred outside of our store. The customer assumes that risk when taking possession of the product. We have no way of knowing when the damage occurred after the furniture leaves our location. However, when contacted by the customer on 7/21, we offered to order the part to fix the futon, as it would be covered under the manufacturers 1 year warranty. For whatever reason, the customer did not want to go this route, and demanded a full cash refund. Per the customer's signed invoice, we offer refunds only in the form of a store credit. This was offered to the customer, but again they refused. The call from the customer was abruptly ended, due to the fact that the customer became agitated and was not willing to accept the aforementioned offers.
