Two chairs ordered X-XX-XX value $828.00 to deliver in 4 to 6 weeks. on week 5 we called and were told deliver would be in 10 days. On 9-8-14 we received a call from Sofa Warehouse stating chairs were not delivered. When we questioned as to why no chairs Sofa Warehouse blamed everything on the 'factory' for not delivering and took minimal responsibility. S W offered no restitution for the awful service and for our loss. We contacted the manufacturer of the chair in question, we were informed that they would be able to make the chair. We even received an order acknowledgment from the company and assumed that the chair would be in route to our store. Upon receiving the shipment we noticed that the chairs were not on the truck. We called the manufacturer and were told that in fact that the chair fabric was discontinued. The manufacturer did not contact us before we received the order. We had no prior knowledge that the they were unable to produce the chairs in question, mainly because we were told otherwise at the time the customer purchased weeks before. We gave the customer a full refund and apologized for the mix up on the end of the manufacturer. This customer continued to become belligerent, using vulgar language and threatening to do his best to try and keep people from patronizing our business. The customer received a full refund. That was all we were able to offer him. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Belligerent maybe, but not vulgar. Sofa warehouse failed to mention that we thought we had a good faith purchase for 6 weeks and only found out otherwise when we went by their store. We purchased the chairs from sofa warehouse not the manufacturer. Sofa Warehouse tried to blame the manufacturer and accept no responsibility for the service failure. Maybe S W should change manufacturers like we have changed furniture stores...Buyer beware....
