Society Hill Hotel and Bar Resturant

Review: On January 8th, 2014, my girlfriend and I arrived to Philadelphia from Washington, DC. We were to stay at Society Hill Hotel, in which I made a reservation through [redacted]. Upon arrival, my girlfriend and I checked into the hotel. We went to our room, and we’re very dissatisfied. I requested to look at another room at which point I was granted access. That room, as well, was not to our liking. After 10 minutes of discussion with my girlfriend (who is currently carrying our 3 month old child) we decided we would not be able to stay because of sanitation concerns. We gathered our belongings, and proceeded to inform the receptionist on duty that we would not be staying. I returned the keys and was told by the receptionist on duty that I could receive a refund by contacting [redacted]. I contacted [redacted], and they told me on two separate phone calls that the hotel would need to issue the refund, because the hotel was the one who charged my card.

From that point, I have contacted the hotel on 3 separate occasions. I have been given the run-around again and again, even being accused of having taken a shower in the hotel room in which we were supposed to stay. My phone calls have gone , and now I am fearful that I will not receive my refund.Desired Settlement: I expect nothing less than full refund

Review: On May 30, 2014 when I checked in to this hotel it was absolutely

horrible. I saw the room and immediately gave the keys back to the

attendant at the counter. This hotel is misrepresented online.

There was trash in my closet!!!! This place does not look sanitary!!!

The photos online do not match the actual. Even the walls were half

way painted. There was mold and chipped caulk in the shower. I had to

get another hotel at the last minute for my wife and I. I would like

a full refund. I could never stay in such a place and I think

no online booking agent should not be affiliated with such business. I spoke to the attendant before I left and she told me I could get a refund. Well not. They charged my card $148.63. I want my refund and this place needs to be properly represented. Bait and Switch!!!!!!!!!! The bad part about it all is that I actually say a better looking room on my way out because the door was open. They would not let me get that room.Desired Settlement: I want a FULL refund and this place needs to change their photos to ACTUAL photos on their online sites. I took ACTUAL photos before I left.
