Snug Harbor Inn Cottages

Review: Booked our anniversary weekend with Snug Harbor Inn @Sunset Cliff cottage, were told there was a pier on site for private use. Talk several times before arrival. At no time was I told the pier was not avail. Upon arrival the first problem began at the door. I was unable to open. My husband had to push hard to open. When he inspected it he found the boards at the bottom were broke. The kitchen cabinets had broken doors, drawer fronts were about to fall off. And the pier they advertised? Not useable safely. Only one section was in the water and another was ontop of that. There is no cell phone service out there and no way to contact the resort, they never gave us a way to reach them. God forbid a medical emergency ever happens there.

The next afternoon I was able to contact the resort. I asked about the pier, the person I spoke with knew nothing about it but would check and call me back. It was pure chance I got cell service so I told them they probably would not be able to reach me. Sure enough, they couldn't, but were able to leave a message. We were told a storm just came through and took out the piers at their cabins. Hmmm the next door neighbor's pier was fine, they were using it. Also, the pier that was there was neatly stacked and had weeds growing up through it. I have a pier, that pier looked like it had not been in water for awhile. What I'm upset about is the price we were charged and at no time in conversations prior to scheduled arrival was I told the pier was not available. I could have booked somewhere else for less money. And when I complained nothing was offered to correct the problem. Never will I use this resort again . I will also warn others.Desired Settlement: 100.00 refund. 50.00 per night
