I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This matter has been resolved. We refunded the patient $49 via check having made the patient's responsibility only $50 which was initially quoted to her when she came into the office. At this point all questions need to be directed to the patient's insurance company. It is a patient's responsibility to know the terms of their insurance benefits. As a courtesy we call to verify the benefits and we were told incorrect information from the representative of her insurance company. We have been courteous and met the patient halfway. We feel this has matter been resolved appropriately. Thank you.

Regarding the $35.00 charge they should have notified me when I made my appointment. That has nothing to do with my insurance company! That was their fault and I should have been told. If I were, I never would have made the appointment with them. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous as a prespricption fee, it sounds like a scam and an underhanded practice, especially when the doctor is in my network. When I go for a check- up, my physician does not charge me a fee for writing a script!!! My insurance company did nothing wrong. It was their responsibility to disclose all fees when an appointment is made. Also, I was only made aware of "[redacted]" when my insurance company called and challenged them. The only reason I am accepting their offer is that I live on a fixed income.
Yours truly,
