I purchased a car from this dealership ( [redacted] spartanburg, sc 864- [redacted] ) back towards the end of march 2016. It was a 2013 ford flex, I happened to love the car. The salesman stated to me that it was an "As is" but they did guarentee a 30day program, where if something went wrong within the first 30 days they would take of it. The employee name was " [redacted] " and he stated that that's what his bossman ( [redacted] ) instructed he tell his customers. At the time of the purchase we told them that the sensors light was on and they stated that it would go off. The sensors "door open" would never go off, even after closing doors. The alarm constantly went off numerous times during the day and night. On april 22nd,2016 my car began smoking, the engine light came on and he started knocking. My car has been unoperable since then. I called on 4/25/16 (because they were closed for the day saturday and sunday) all morning, his employee " [redacted] " told me on numerous occasions that [redacted] (boss) wasn't there yet and he would have him call me. It wasn't until 2:30 pm that day, that I had someone to go by there to see if he was in the office. As I was on the phone with the person I sent by to see, I was on my house phone calling certified auto. " [redacted] " told me that the bossman still hadn't come in, while the person I sent by stating that [redacted] was sitting at his desk. After being able to catch a ride there around 4:00pm, we were able to finally speak to him. We were trying to explain what was going on with the car and that him and his employee told us if anything went wrong within the first 30 days. He kept talking down to us as if we didn't know anything about cars and etc...After I told him that I don't really care about the sensors, as much as I care about a working car. That I needed my car to be running. He (jason oswald "bossman") then got mad and began cussing at me. In which my boyfriend then told him, "aye man, you not going to talk to her like that" and [redacted] then stated "I'd talk to her any damn way I want". Then my boyfriend said "No, you won't speak to her like that". [redacted] then said "You want me to come around the corner, I'll come around the corner". The owner then came around the corner approaching my boyfriend, I actually stood inbetween him and my boyfriend. As the owner kept pushing me trying to get to my boyfriend , he kept saying "you think you bad in front of your girlfriend, you think your bad huh". That's when I told my boyfriend, to come on lets go. As we were walking towards the door, the owner [redacted] then stated "Oh, I got something for you...I got something for you". He then walked into his office, reached into his top side drawer of his desk and pulled out a small black handgun and pointed it at us still saying "I got something for you". Around that time his other employee I believe her name was [redacted] (red headed heavy set woman) then stated "Okay, this has went to far...how about ya'll come back another time". I told my boyfriend, come on let's call the police. Before the police came, the lady came out of the store looking suspicious and got in her car and left. We waited in the parking lot until the police came and filed a report. Several police showed up and we filed a report with the Spartanburg County Police ("officer [redacted] -female"). She stated to us that the owner was acting as if he knew nothing about a gun and that they couldn't locate it, because they searched. I then told her there was another employee that happened to leave before they came and he could have possibly given that gun to her. The officer then told us to make sure we follow up with our report the next day at the court house. The other officers also stated that "word of mouth" is how you prevent this from ever happening to another customer. The owner put us on trespassing as if we did something wrong, not to mention that I can't even get my dmv tag from them nor my contracts for documentation. The owner stated that anything that needs to be sent to me, will be sent via his attorney. I've NEVER EVER in my 31 years of life, EVER had a gun pulled out of me until that day by this crooked businessman. On top of that, they also do insurance fraud claims as well (wrecking cars to get money).
I would NOT use this dealership again!! My husband bought a truck from them about a month agoWhen he purchased it *** said that it had been inspected and everything was working greatMy husband just went to get it serviced and learned that there is more than $8,in repairs neededHe also learned that this dealership KNEW that these repairs were needed before they sold him the car*** knew that my husband was a veteran, you would think he would have treated him with a little more respectAlso *** knew he was a new father and that we would be using this as our family carWe learned that at any time we could be stranded on the side of the roadI am so disgusted that a business can get away with such dishonestyWe are now stuck with a 8k bill and a really sour taste for small car dealershipsI hope that this message helps you make your decision to NOT buy from Certified Auto Center, unless you like to buy from dishonest people that have no problem knowing that you and your newborn child could be stranded on the side of the road at nightBeyond disgusted!!

Review: I am on disability with 2 children still at home. They would cut my water off all the time if I was even a day late so they told me if I would only get in touch with them to let them know they would work something out with me. I started doing that & they still cut it off I think just to get the reconnect fee. They turned it off this past Wednesday & we had only asked them to hold off until today. I've been sitting without water trying to bring some in in jugs. They do this to me almost every month & I'm sure I can't be the only one. My nerves get tore up so bad I can't take it any more. Please, please help!!Desired Settlement: I just want them to stop doing this every month like I said I'm on disability I can't afford this. I have to pay $210 today to get it back on.

Response:
In response to the Complaint identified above, we offer the following response:
The Complainant is a water and sewer customer of ours, and has been for many years. Our policy is, and has been, that all bills are mailed by the 25th of the month, payment is due by the 10th of the following month, there is a 5 day grace period where a penalty fee is applied, and on the 6th working day after the 10th, any unpaid accounts are disconnected and a $ 25 fee applied. These disconnected accounts require payment in full prior to reconnection to the system.
We have not singled out the Complainant; we have merely enforced our long standing policy. From the time the bills are due, to the time of disconnection there is basically a minimum of 6 working days, and depending on weekends and holidays, and where the 10th falls in the week; there is even more time for a customer to pay their account.
We did disconnect service on the Wednesday in question, as the bill was not paid, for the customer to ask for another 2 days to pay falls outside of our policy, 10 days had elapsed since the 10th to make that payment, which is a rather long grace period already. This customer is correct that this issue occurs about every month; however, the resolution is directly in the customer's control. The best way to resolve this issue is for the customer to pay their bill on time, or within the 5 day grace period, with penalty. Accounts which remain unpaid after the 5 day grace period will continue to be disconnected according to our longstanding policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Assistant County Administrator
County Emgineer
