Smokin Snowboards

I recently purchased a "Smokin snowboard" from the company "Smokin" ; my understanding of the company was that they where an independent low key company who cared about the quality of there products and they stood by them. well I got the snowboard and rode it the day I bought it. While riding it I barely hit the tail side of the board ,which is pretty common -nothing major, I didnt crash or bonk it up against anything aggressive just normal routine. so I thought! When I got to the bottom of the hill I looked at board to find that the whole metal edge was caved in on the tail side and broke on the FIRST day of using the board! its a 400+ dollar board,and I didn't even get more than one run with.. I was super disappointed!! so I contacted the company thinking it would be no problem to replace but the CEO refused to replace the defective board even though he said it was covered under warranty he said I qualified for a "bummer replacement" which cost 350 dollars for a new replacement when I originally paid 400+ for the board that BROKE the FIRST TIME ever used didn't abuse it! or slam it into anything. Smokin wanted me to keep this weak defective board charging me an additional $350 for a completely new one? that isn't right, I refused. thats over 700+ dollars for something that that I only need 1 of and should have lasted in the first place. I was pretty persistant but completely respectful and diplomatic about nagotiating a replacement-- I hoped I could count on the company to stand behind their products and promises of quality ,but the company got annoyed with me and pulled all my warranty qualifications .pretty below and contrary to the standards expected in their particular profession. just because I asked.. I was diplomatic the whole time in our conversations and got mistreated. the whole situation has left me feeling extremely cheated, I don't feel I can let this slip away.Product_Or_Service: snowboardDesired Settlementi just want a equal exchange with the old defected board(very minor defect its fixable) with a new one simple as that!
