Contracted with the company to remove solar system in preparation for install of a new roof on the house. The company left all the fittings on the roof and just remove the panels. When I contacted the company shortly after the panel removal, with pictures about the fittings being left on the roof, there was no response. The roofing company had to complete the work of removing the solar system to inspect the roof for possible dry rot and to install the appropriate materials for a completely brand new roof. The day this all occurred (12/18), I contacted Smit's and they said that other companies - *** and ***, did not require all the fittings for a solar system to be removed. I have since contacted the 2 companies (and other roofing companies) and they informed me there can be no obstructions left on the roof. And if there was such things it would void the warranty.
BTW - When they did the bid for the contract - they did not even come out and see what was on the roof. All they did was view the house via *** maps.
Consumer states that the business has reached out to them and an agreement has been reached. Consumer considers the matter resolved.
