As part of a home inspection prior to the sale of my home, Northern Coal was contracted by the potential buyer to perform an inspection and cleaning of my year old oil furnace I requested that the technician replace the burner nozzle with the exact size as the one he took out He acted like he didn't hear me, so I said it again Again, no response I was told by the buyer's real estate agent that I shouldn't be in the home during the inspection So, against my better judgement, I went outside My furnace may be years old, however, it is a well made, Peerless cast iron furnace Said furnace has been completely rebuilt and was functioning perfectly prior to the "inspection" When the technician was done, he told our potential buyer to budget for a new furnace I asked what was wrong He said "it was old" He wouldn't elaborate On the invoice given to the buyer, he also stated that the oil tank was not covered He said this as well It is not required to be covered u
