The customer spoke with our branch parts agent, who asked our field service engineer to review the pictures that the customer sent. The pictures didn't lead to a conclusion and we instructed the customer to bring his truck into a certified dealer or Cummins repair facility. From there we
would be able to determine the root cause and apply warranty, if applicable. To our knowledge, the customer has not brought his truck into a certified dealer or Cummins repair facility.The customer purchased the head and performed his own repair. All cam bushing failures that our engineer has reviewed have been caused by dirt/debris contamination, which usually happens during a repair. An expert would be able to determine the root cause
