I traded my 2011 Jeep Liberty to Smith Family Motors on Friday September 14, 2012. I in turn got a 2007 Lexus IS250. I was informed that it had had AWD. GPS Navigation with Reverse Backup Camera. Bluetooth. Modified with Ground Effects Kit. F-Sport Wheels. Sunroof. They advertise that they are the number one certified Lexus dealer in Utah. I signed the paperwork, and was called to re sign on Saturday for financing issues. Saturday I noticed a crack in the front bumper, we agreed to each pay half for the damages, $75.00. Sunday I had the car cleaned and noticed it has had an aftermarket paint job, one of which does not have a clear coat and has already started to chip. I also noticed that the door jams, trunk, and hood are still the factory color of paint and do not match at all. I immediately sent a message to the dealership letting them know my concerns and expressed I would like to rescind the contract and receive my jeep back. I later that night found out the car has been in a front end collision which was not disclosed to me at the dealership, even after I inquired about the title and whether it was branded or salvaged or anything. After numerous phone calls and e-mails the dealership called me back and said I am stuck with the car they do not care, these things were my fault and that I never asked about the previous history of the car and hung up on me. He later called back after supposedly cooling down and said he would take the car back if they could keep my down payment of $500.00. I said I would agree to pay the full $150.00 for the crack in the bumper, but that the financial paperwork had not been submitted and did not feel it to be fair to keep my down payment when I was returning the car how I received it and a lot cleaner than I received it.
